DESIGN FOR LIFE
VOL. 1
by Lauren A. Forry

Based on characters created by Jason T. Reed and Casey Wolfe

You are about to embark on a fascinating adventure through the world of the Maker Movement with protagonists that are rarely, if ever, written about nowadays: a married couple. That like each other. We love the classic Dashiell Hammet series The Thin Man and wanted to bring that kind of fun and spirit into the contemporary world (without quite so much drinking). We’re also inspired by the Maker Movement — an umbrella term for independent inventors, designers, tinkerers, computer hackers and traditional artisans — which seems to harness the best of what humanity has to offer. Combine the two and you have Design for Life which introduces the characters of Charlotte Sharp and David Velasquez, two people with complimentary skills who work together to solve problems. These humble geniuses are about to unwittingly mess with the progenitors of a dark and vast-reaching conspiracy.

Thrills! Romance! Gadgets!(?) Welcome to Design for Life Vol. 2. We’ve had a tremendous amount of fun with these characters and the world of the Maker Movement. At one point we’d considered involving members of the community by having Charlotte and David trapped in particular settings surrounded by a finite set of tools and having the readers figure out real-life means of having the couple escape, but we decided to let the characters breathe for this first go-around. Unfortunately our writer Lauren A. Forry might have other plans for the married couple – so whether they stick around for any future installments remains to be seen…

DESIGN FOR LIFE
VOL. 3
by Lauren A. Forry

Based on characters created by Jason T. Reed and Casey Wolfe

Charlotte and David are the kind of couple who would gladly spend Saturday evening sharing a six-pack of beer with friends and building a robot. But their casual days of toiling in the Maker Movement have come to an abrupt end when Charlotte inadvertently crosses paths with the mega-corporation White & White. Now, Charlotte has been kidnapped and is being held hostage by a woman who is most definitely not of sound mind and David has been framed for a crime he did not commit. The two are going to have to double-down on their resourcefulness if they want to ever see each other again…
